The golden sand of Gara Beach is a short walk from the Gara Rock Hotel perched high up on the cliffs at the east end of Portlemouth Down. This beach can be reached by taking a delightful circular walk that starts at Mill Bay on the East Portlemouth side of Salcombe Harbour.
