The River Yealm is at its widest as it sweeps majestically around Warren Point before running out into Wembury Bay. Viewed from the Quay on the Newton Ferrers side of the river , the woodland blanketing the steep hills on the far shore forms an imposing backdrop, impenetrable when viewed against the shimmering reflection of the afternoon sun on the swirling water.
