Gara Point at the mouth of the River Yealm marks the western extremity of the South Hams coast. The Great Mewstone stands off of the beach at Wembury and the coastline beyond is Cornwall on the far side of Plymouth Sound. A footpath leading from a National Trust car park close to Stoke Point brings you down to the south west coastal path and this beautiful windswept view.
